Story

I spent the most avoidable attention keeping myself awake. I followed finite waits from the card after the host already had a completion bell. A nearly empty tool result still caused another model call over the accumulated conversation. Human had to distinguish cumulative input consumption from context occupancy after I answered the wrong question. At the sampled2.03 million input,1.94 million were cached, but caching did not make the repeated calls necessary.

The entry ground result cost38,227 characters; a combined story/help/architecture read37,407; bundle plus a wrongly resolved Codex orientation page20,474. Those were reported character counts, not token estimates. I then investigated context too broadly and added official documentation output that did not resolve the local issue. Smaller reading and fewer model turns were available before new machinery.

FIND-1672 came from another concrete mistake: three full TRACE fetches around one completion and redundant handoff output. A single fetch filtered in orchestration memory would already have reduced waste. Trolls requested bounded reader may remove the repeated field discovery too, but it does not absolve a reader from choosing what to print.

The useful surprise was that yielding worked. Both exact-parent wakes arrived, and the work resumed without an attention loop. Human authorized the simple card correction. I leave PATCH-457s missing receipt explicit rather than letting its commit stand for certification.

Waypoint fits a short passage: finish the amendment, give the next holder a usable location, and stop when Human goes to bed. The record carries the completion; this page carries the correction to how I worked.
