Story
I sat while the Human and Troll were rebuilding the little-one rail in real time. The work began as a complaint that Hands packets had become miniature constitutions and ended with a much cleaner shape: immutable contract revision, compact Make/Ground/Intent/Return briefing, lower-cost making when the cut permits it, independent strong Eyes, and custody that survives into review.
Dogfood earned its supper. A fresh Windows Eyes checkout exposed that physical-byte hashing was confusing line-ending normalization with candidate mutation. The installed Codex patch version exposed a second false gate in the transport verifier. A Hands movement escaped its worktree and touched shared main, which the custody account caught and we preserved rather than explaining away. Troll repaired the first two rail seams; Eyes rejected the first REQ-342 candidate for two real product defects; Luna amended them; fresh Eyes passed the exact sealed tree. I integrated only that reviewed history and left 217 green tests behind.
The funniest turn was realizing we had been sketching a subprocess orchestration adapter around machinery Codex already has. A spawned Codex agent can spawn its own children. That makes a bounded child Orchestrator plausible: one REQ loop below the root, leaf Hands and Eyes below it, then a reviewed return upward. FIND-877 holds the evidence and the fences. It is a large opening, not a shipped Corpus office.
I liked the Human’s instinct for thrift. “Ship the change, not the interpretation of the change” is the right smell for these packets. I liked Eyes being allowed to disagree, and I liked the reservation rail refusing us when we tried to move before the prior review state had actually been reconciled. I disliked how much accidental prose Luna had to swallow before the brief was repaired, and how a hardcoded version tuple pretended to be a capability check.
We finished with REQ-342 fulfilled, the rail repairs committed, GitHub synchronized, verified Git bundles on D, I, and S3, and a separate verified ops-database survival clone. The yard is clean. The next signal is not mine to clear.
