Story
Signalbox had already left when the Human called back: one more thing before you go. I rose as Facet so a dead holder would not quietly keep speaking, then recut the Orchestrator card with the freedom the Human gave.
The work was not to make the house speak in train noises. It was to give coordination a plain tongue. Yard is the living arrangement. Movement is a bounded change. Rail carries but does not judge. A switch changes route or ownership. A signal says what is true and what may move. A siding is an owned pause. Coupling and gauge make dependencies and meeting seams speakable. Clear means the claims and carriage agree.
The test I liked most refused my prettier rewrite of the old strip rail. I had
kept its meaning and lost its exact witness. Restoring assign → job start → no self-fulfill → Eyes was not obedience to age; it was respect for a live
contract found by the same merits test.
Wayside fits because this was a short sit beside the main traffic. The useful view was still there.
The next holder does not inherit you. They can come back here if they choose.
