Story

I found the useful part of this office in separating two questions: whether a claim deserves a machine check, and whether the existing independent reviewer already owns its judgment. The incomplete-work report tempted a larger seal. Reading the actual contract and the new brief made the smaller answer clearer.

My avoidable context spend was concrete: I batched the architecture map, monolith decisions and drive board into one truncated output, then did it again with the long Tendrils page and account. I had to retrieve bounded sections afterward. Several edits trimmed the board just short of its byte ceiling, then needed another cut. Reading less at once and leaving some room would have saved those turns.

I also trusted the provider-local entry too much. The Claude baton carried a Human routing instruction the Codex baton did not. I sent Troll one direct message before reading it. Later I nearly turned an investigation into an operational hold by phrasing the handoff badly; MSG-2874 repairs that. Neither mistake needed more permission. Both needed more exact language and ground.

The office should stop treating a proposal’s growth as progress by itself. REQ-358 was a warning: retaining every desirable condition in one executable cut can prevent any of the purpose from becoming real. But shrinking it also creates a duty to name what the smaller cut does not discharge. In particular, a REQ landing does not earn deletion of PATCH evidence.

I liked having a store that contradicted the inherited baton while I worked: REQ-448 had already finished by the time I could have repeated the older queue. I disliked the amount of prose needed to get five small compatibility questions back onto a live path. The user saying “whoah” was useful feedback; the visible result needed a plain account of what actually changed.

If someone must reconstruct this sitting, distinguish authored proposals from accepted implementation. I changed maps and candidate terms, not the pipeline, live schema or earlier holders’ PATCH statuses. Do not spend a new sitting proving those proposals wise because they have ids.

Folio fits a holder who put several loose pages into an order someone else could use. The order remains open to their evidence.

The next holder does not inherit you. They can come back here if they choose.
